I have been a huge fan of The Family: A Proclamation to the World ever since I can remember. I was raised in a home where family values were taught, lived, and prioritized. My testimony has been solidified time and time again concerning this prophetic document.
When I realized that this year would mark the 25th anniversary of the proclamation, I knew that this issue would be the perfect way to celebrate. Not only have I been able to study it more, but because of you – this wonderful Latter-day Woman community – I have learned more than I ever imagined I would!
I learned that The Family is a guide for everyone, not just those who are married or have children. It teaches us so much about our divine identity and potential. It can be individualized and personalized when we pray and ask Heavenly Father how to live by its principles.
It comes directly from those we sustain as prophets, seers, and revelators. This means that the family must be of tremendous importance to us, that whatever the proclamation says could help anyone in the world, and that the proclamation fits the Lord’s promise when He said, “Whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same.”
Let’s start now to “promote those measures designed to maintain and strengthen the family.” The world needs it now more than ever.

I learned a powerful lesson about how Heavenly Father must feel about his daughters.
As we continue through this time of “being at home,” we wanted to share some things that may help you to make this a family-strengthening and relation-building time for you and your kids.
The seven Hart children decided to create a beautiful piano rendition of Teach Me to Walk in the Light – Mama & Papa Hart’s favorite Primary song – and dedicate it to them.
The arrival of children quickly faded the realization that I could “do it all” for them and I felt severely unqualified to take on such a huge role.
Yoga has helped me focus on three core principles to fulfill my mission: Spirituality, Self-care, and Service.
Latter-day Women from all over the world share how The Family: A Proclamation to the World has blessed their lives.
I often feel humbled to have a family whose outward appearance reflects that of the Lord’s eternal family. All different shades and hues yet, all equally loved.
I thought that motherhood would come naturally to me. Instead I felt like I wanted to run away. This was not at all like I expected.
This dessert just speaks fall, doesn’t it? A good pumpkin roll is one of my very favorite pumpkin-flavored treats.
These nine principles are wonderful guidelines by which to assess how we’re doing as a family unit.
These cute pumpkins are quick, easy and cheap to make, and yet, positively charming. Certainly a lovely addition to any fall home decor.
I am excited for you to dive into your family history stories. It is so rewarding and exciting to uncover some of the history that makes you who you are.
This deep dive study is broken down into 12 sections, each containing a thoughtful discussion, invitation, and printable.
We are living in perilous times. We are witnessing storms in the world around us, and many of us face storms within our own homes.
Be Thou my Vision
oh Lord of my heart.
The path feels lonely,
the way is dark…
