In every issue of Latter-Day Woman Magazine, we ask a guest to share their favorite products, books, podcasts, blogs, or anything else they are super passionate about.

We are excited to announce our Guest Editor for our Spring 2020 issue!

Meet Brittney Hanks from Home Grown Traditions.

home grown traditions

Brittney shares effortless recipes, school lunch ideas, mom hacks, organization tips, and service suggestions – just to name a few.  And we are thrilled to have her share a few of her favorite things with us.

My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows.

My mom and sisters have a monthly book club over Skype since we all live far apart and this was a recent read that was so fun and entertaining!

Imagined Life by Wondery.

This podcast takes you through the life and events of famous people, but you don’t find out who they’re talking about until the very end of the episode!

Go-To Dinner Rolls

No-Fail Crescent Dinner Rolls

I’ve been making these at least once a month for the past 5+ years. They NEVER fail and are always light, buttery and 100% perfection. I also recently turned the roll recipe into cinnamon rolls and they’re incredible.

Microfiber cloths from Costco.

You buy them in bulk in the automotive section and I use them for everything – cleaning, washing my face, etc.

Clip-On Silicone Strainer

Clip on Strainer for pots pans, Snap on Strainer Made by FDA Approved, Heat Resistant Silicone, Easy to Use and Store, Dishwasher Safe (Blue)

No more using a giant colander and dirtying up another dish. This clips right onto your pan and you pour the hot water right out into the sink. It also works great for draining hot oil from a pan into a can or container.

Free Grocery Pickup from Walmart.

Literally saves me hours each week. It’s so simple to place an order online, avoid walking scatter-brained around the grocery store and buying more than you need, and it doesn’t cost a thing!

Dyson Vacuum

Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal Lightweight Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner

This was an investment but worth every penny. I got it on sale at Costco and have used it multiple times per day. If you’ve got a house that has a lot of hardwood or tile, this vacuum is a must. I never sweep anymore!
